CONSULTING
My services vary according to the needs of the organization or company. Lately, I've been conducting training seminars on "How to Teach Cooking to Kids" and writing curricula on children's nutrition and cooking classes. In addition to teaching, I also:
-Develop and test recipes (with a focus on healthful, family-friendly dishes)
-Write food and nutrition content for websites and print media
-Conduct corporate wellness seminars
-Consult on culinary and nutrition related projects
My specialty is initiating and developing start-up programs. I have years of program development experience, the most up-to-date resources, and an extensive network of professionals at the top of their fields who I can contact on your behalf - they include chefs, farmers, gardeners, dietitians, educators, and policy makers. So, if you have a new food-related program and needing guidance, send me an email at info@julienegrin.com.
SCHOOL PROGRAMS for children and teens
Bring cooking to the classroom! Kids can learn how to cook anywhere - with or without a kitchen. Julie can develop a customized curriculum that matches the needs of your organization and also work within financial and space constraints.
Many schools no longer offer home economics and don't have the resources to teach nutrition beyond the basics. Learning how to cook is an ideal way for kids and teens to learn about nutrition and healthful eating - it's fun and hands-on. It will expand their palates and improve the variety of their diet since they are more likely to eat dishes they helped prepare.
If you'd like to learn more about bringing Julie into your school or would like to start a School Wellness Program, email her at
info@julienegrin.com or call 206.275.9990 for more information.
